Christian Education

It is the vision of the CE Committee to establish programs that bring to life Christ’s teachings. We believe in an environment that welcomes and nurtures everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Our regular CE activities, such as Sunday school for children and adults, Kids Club and Youth Group (listed below) run from September–May.

Sunday School

9:15 am Sundays – All Are Welcome!

Sunday School For Children Preschool – 6th grade begins in the Sanctuary to gather and sing.

With practice we do everything better. By practicing prayer, attending worship and Sunday school, singing, and being part of a faith community that celebrates diversity, we are able to help our children claim their place as children of God, welcome and loved in this place. In addition, parents and this faith community honor the promise we make at their baptism, giving them a faith that they can believe in and hold on to throughout life.

If you would like to be part of this experience, please contact Mary Maleski, our CE Director

CE Update

Hello everyone!
from Mary Maleski, Christian Education Director

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and healthy start to the New Year.

Beginning in January we will work with the story of Peter, one of the disciples called by Jesus. Sunday school is hands on fun, building on the stories learned at Kids Club each week. It is a time of enrichment, where children can dig deeper and spend time questioning and exploring scripture. Last semester the children made a game board for the story of Moses!

On the third Sunday of each month we will continue with a special music time with Miss Julia. Each week the children will have fun with music, whether it is playing drums, instruments, singing, chanting... the children will explore rhythm and the many ways music can be incorporated into their lives.

I look forward to seeing everyone! Please, as always, know that you can call me with any questions or concerns.
