Care Ministry Leaders

The ministry of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress.

If you have a particular need, joy or concern, your Deacons are here to help. If you prefer, Pastor Lisa Day or Deacon Moderator Christine Vincent can pass along your information.

Care Areas:

  • Birth, Adoption, Baptism
  • Card Ministry
  • Meals/Rides/Practical Assistance
  • Illness & Hospitalization
  • Prayer Ministry
  • Homebound Visitation/Long Term Illness
  • Young Adults
  • Home Communion

The Pastor and Deacons will bring home communion to anyone unable to attend worship on the first Sunday of the month.  Please let Pastor Lisa Day, Deacon Moderator Christine Vincent or any Deacon or Elder know that you or a family member desire communion at home or in the hospital.

Help us visit the homebound!

If you know of someone who is unable to come to church or get out and about, help us make contact by passing along their names, or by volunteering to visit them yourself. If mobility or lack of transportation makes participating in the full life of the church difficult, the Deacons are here to help.
