As Presbyterians at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, we have reflected upon and drafted what we believe are our core values. They include: |
Worship
We believe that worship is the central focus of the Christian community. We follow the traditions of the reformed faith, using prayer, the Bible, music, preaching, and spiritual reflection to help us understand God’s mighty power and love for us. We share our belief in Christ and Strive to bring others to the knowledge that God is worshipped and celebrated here.
Service
We are called to be God’s disciples in the community, the nation, and the world. We seek to be committed Christians who serve each other. We believe that ALL have been blessed with spiritual gifts, and that through the use of these gifts we are able to further God’s kingdom here on Earth.
Community
We seek to be a community of care and inclusion. We are called upon to welcome, love, and encourage everyone. We seek to provide a viable ministry to all people, to strengthen their faith as adults and to encourage the youth to trust the abundant love of Jesus Christ.
Education
We provide opportunities for those who are new to Christianity to explore all aspects of the meaning of being a Christian. We seek to provide opportunities for growth in personal faith and knowledge of Christ. We fully share our love of the Lord by thoughts, words, and deeds, and are constantly seeking to learn more about our community of faith through bible study and fellowship for all ages

| Chaplaincy Program at Princeton Medical Center assists those who have been admitted to the Princeton hospital with spiritual care, a friendly face and information about the daunting process of hospitalization. As supporters of this much needed program, our church sends part of the Christmas Joy Offering to the Chaplaincy fund. If you or one of your loved ones ever needs hospital care in Princeton, be sure to fill in "Presbyterian" in the religious affiliation block to let the ministers there (including our Suzanne) know that their care is needed. |
