Contemporary Faith Issues Class, 8 pm Wednesdays

Is it important when the Bible was written?  Is it important who wrote the Bible?

The answer to those questions depends on your approach and understanding of the Bible.  This year our Wednesday evening class will explore the many different ways in which we approach the Bible as Presbyterians.  Using articles and papers produced by the denomination and other scholars we will look at all of the different approaches and how each different approach can change the meaning or offer new insight into the passage.  Many times we will be looking at the next Sunday’s sermon text as our working text.  (so some may get a preview of things to come.)

This class will only require the preparation you wish to do.  If you do not have the time to prepare you will still be able to fully participate

MissionMorsels

Better Beginnings Day Care Center has been a mission of FPCH since the 1960's. Better Beginnings is committed to providing affordable, quality child care, giving parents the opportunity to be self-supporting, contributing, and involved members of the community, while providing their children with developmentally-appropriate learning experiences in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment. We support BBDCC by giving the use of our classrooms, kitchen and other areas and they assist us by contributing a portion of the utilities they use. Many church members have adopted the kids and the programs there as their special mission. Is this a mission for you?
